About Freestanding Piles

Freestanding stockpiles are material piles without walls or bunkers containing them. These are common in many industries including landscaping, aggregate, ready-mix concrete, and asphalt operations.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these steps to measure a freestanding stockpile:

1. Open SR Measure. On a Business plan, open the pile and tap Measure Pile ; the pile's Storage Type must be Freestanding . On other plans, tap Measure .
2. Position yourself with a clear view of the pile, then tap Start .
3. Walk around the pile base in the direction the on-screen arrow points, keeping the pile in frame.
4. Return to your starting point. The arrow fills green as the loop closes.
5. Wait while the app shows Computing your pile volume. Keep the app open.
6. Review your volume and outline, then tap Save .
