Validating Field Trial Results Using LiDAR
Stockpile Reports formally begins validating field trial results using LiDAR.
For the test, we are using the Leica ScanStation C10 laser scanner to calculate the reference stockpile volumes. As shown in the picture, I am walking the pile using an Apple® iPhone® 5 to record stockpile imagery. Early indications show comparable results between laser scanning and Stockpile Reports’ volume calculations.
