Bloopers, Fun and Unexpected Events

Our team takes a lot of photos, and of course our customers do, too.

Often we shoot images while on-site with customers, and while training new customers, visiting new places, or when we test a new version of our Stockpiles app. We have hundreds of thousands of images. Our QA and Support team manages to view many of them— and some are quite surprising!

It isn’t all work and no play around here. We like to have fun just as much as you do, especially during the summer months when the weather is nice. Sometimes a little levity goes a long way on-site. And of course, sometimes things happen that are not expected and a little scary.

Take a look at some of our unexpected events and bloopers in these photos from the past couple of years:

Birds appear in the most unexpected places. Here is a hawk that we found while reviewing an aerial measurement of a site. Another bird regularly visits the scale house at an Australian quarry.

Spirits were high during AGG1 2015. David and Maury were happy to make silly poses.

Maury and David pose for a selfie. Jonathan and Galen ham it up as Super Stockpilers. Of course, we all had to laugh at the construction cone we discovered at the top of a tall pole. We have no idea why it was placed there!

We don’t sit in our offices and just work on computers all day. Our boots are on the ground…but sometimes our boots get very wet and muddy in the field.

Sometimes on Friday afternoons we play Goat Simulator, a video game. Charles got his goat on a boat.

We also spend time sitting in our trucks, waiting for downpours and thunderstorms to stop before resuming measurements. A rainbow is always appreciated!

An unexpected hazard: a bull standing it’s ground during the summer. During winter, watch out for patches of ice.

You always have to stay alert. This tree fell down in front of our truck en route to a location. A dust devil appeared instantly from the sky.
