Stockpile Reports Hires Peter Barr as a Sr. Software Engineer

Stockpile Reports is pleased to announce the addition of Peter Barr to the Stockpile Reports team. He comes to Stockpile Reports with a background in computer science, research and development, and software development and programming.

Education and Experience

Peter Barr graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, where he studied Mathematical Statistics in his undergrad and Computer Science during his graduate career. While at Wake Forest University, Peter spent time working as a Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Since graduating, Peter has been in the 3D industry for the majority of his career. Peter joined the creator of Invisalign, Align Technology. Invisalign is an alternative to traditional metal braces and requires 3D photos and videos to create the trays necessary for treatment. His primary role at Align Technology was as a C+++ Software Engineer working with 3D geometric algorithms. In 2018, Peter joined Size Stream, a 3D body scanning technology company that produces custom, made to measure clothing, as a Systems Software Engineer.

Why Stockpile Reports?

As a company that specializes in stockpile inventory measurements and volumetrics using 3D photography and point cloud technology, it only made sense for Peter to join Stockpile Reports. Peter is looking forward to providing solutions to customer’s problems, improving the tools they use to complete their inventory counts, and optimizing processes. He enjoys identifying processes that are considered a drain on time, uncovering and implementing potential solutions to make it a valuable, repeatable, automated task.

Peter is originally from Clearwater, Florida, where he grew up with his family. In Peter’s free time, you can find him hanging out with his two cats, Yoda and Johnny, and playing golf, soccer, tennis, and video games. He also enjoys traveling and most recently went to Germany and Brazil.
