This year’s IQA conference theme is “Diversity & Opportunity,” with a strong focus on the diverse nature of North Queensland and the opportunities open to both business and local communities.
The conference is the showcase of the latest innovations in quarrying practices and equipment, and is one of the largest industry conferences in Australia.
SITECH, a construction technology provider for Eastern Australia, is one of the event’s newest sponsors and a distribution partner for Stockpile Reports.
This is a unique opportunity for attendees to be able to experience first-hand how smartphone technology is being used to accurately calculate aggregates stockpile volumes.
Tim McPhillips, Northern Region Manager of SITECH says: “We’ve been working with the quarrying industry for a number of years, but we’ve never had a solution quite like this that will change the way things can be done so significantly.”
“We’re really excited to be part of the IQA annual conference for the first time so we can talk with everyone about exactly what Stockpile Reports can do and how it will make an enormous impact on the efficiency and profitability of quarrying operations,” Tim says.
The Stockpile Reports system for calculating stockpile volumes with a smartphone was recently featured on the cover of Rock Products Magazine, and has been called an industry ‘game-changer’.
Registered conference attendees are invited to attend SITECH’s demonstration at the Holcim Quarry during lunch on Friday, September 20th beginning at 11:30 AM. For more information on the conference, and to register for the event, please go to http://www.aomevents.com/IQA2013
