Stockpile Reports Attends Site Prep Tech Conference | Stockpile Reports

Stockpile Reports was an attendee last week at Atlanta’s Site Prep Tech, the only industry conference focusing exclusively on increasing understanding and adoption of construction technology for site preparation.

Adopting new technologies requires a change in the way site prep contractors, as well as engineers and surveyors, work. Identifying and correcting industry misconceptions about new technologies was a major theme for all featured speakers.

Educational topics at Site Prep Tech covered a wide range of new technology implementation with related guidance from field-tested experts.

This included improving productivity by optimizing personnel and equipment efforts, improving accuracy and quality control, telematics, 3-D models, cloud-based software solutions and a special off-site equipment operation introducing Komatsu America’s world’s first D61i-23 dozer.

Maury Margol, Head of Stockpile Reports’ Business Development team, met with business leaders and exhibitors at the event. Trimble, Topcon, Leica Geosystems and Komatsu were Partners this year.

He took the opportunity to drive the D61i-23 dozer for 10 minutes, at the conference finale, and had a great time. He said that it was fun driving over piles and using the dozer’s automatic front shovel.
