How to Calculate Stockpile Volumes

Knowing how much inventory you have on hand at any given time is important for many reasons including aligning sales and operations, improving profitability, and becoming more efficient. Stockpile Reports offers various ways that you can calculate stockpile volumes in a few short steps.

With iPhone:

1. Place cones 25 feet (or 10 meters for non-US) apart in front of the pile (This establishes the scale measurement)
2. Select the site and corresponding product to be measured in the Stockpiles app
3. Stand in front of one of the cones and frame the pile on the iPhone screen
4. Measure the pile by pressing “record” to begin the measurement, walking the perimeter of the pile
5. Review the pile video and send it for processing
6. Within 24 hours or less, you’ll have a custom stockpile volume report

With a drone:

1. Schedule your drone flights with Stockpile Reports
2. Our pilots come out and fly your worksites on your schedule
3. Identify which stockpiles you’d like measured
4. Review and share the stockpile volume reports with your team

Do it yourself:
