Measuring a pile stored inside a three-sided bunker is slightly different than a freestanding pile or a pile against a wall. With the SR Measure app, you can accurately capture these piles by following a guided process that walks you along the walls and in front of the material.

Step-by-Step Instructions #
Follow these steps to measure a 3-sided bunker pile using SR Measure:
- Open the SR Measure app and tap Start a New Measurement.
- Stand in front of the left bunker wall and tap the button to begin.
- Follow the on-screen guides throughout the measurement.
- Tap the front bunker wall, then walk in an arc so the inside of the left wall is visible.
- Keep your camera aimed at the pile, and avoid rotating the phone in place.
- At each checkpoint, tap the screen when prompted as you move across the pile.
- If your bunker is full, continue walking in an arc until you reach the toe of the pile and have the right wall in frame.
- Tap the front of the right wall a second time.
- Move closer until the pile fills the frame, then walk the length of the pile, keeping it in view until the arrow turns green.
- Return to your starting point and tap the front wall to complete the measurement.
- Wait for processing to finish, then press Save to store your measurement.
Tips for Best Results #
- Always keep the pile in frame — avoid spinning in place.
- Use smooth arcs rather than sharp turns.
- If your bunker walls are made of blocks, be consistent: always tap the same block each time you measure so your results are comparable.
