Galen earned his B.S. in Geography, GIS, and Surveying in 2007. With nearly 15 years of industry experience, Galen’s core responsibilities at Stockpile Reposts include managing our products, ensuring they are operating efficiently and exceeding customer expectations. He also oversees the execution of product releases, customer onboarding, supports the sales and customer service teams, and much, much more. Having been with Stockpile Reports since inception, there isn’t much that Galen hasn’t dipped his toes into. Father of two daughters, Galen spends his spare time coaching soccer teams, lifting weights, rowing, drawing, and adventuring outdoors with his wife, daughters, and springer spaniel, Lola.
Jonathan is a skilled commercial drone pilot, an expert in industrial drone applications, and an inventory management guru. Jonathan grew up in Portland, Oregon with a passion for technology and design. He attended Oregon State University and graduated with a B.S. focusing on Geography and Geographic Information Systems. He spent the first half of his career as a cartographer and GIS Analyst for the State of Oregon specializing transportation-related data visualizations.
Previously a customer solutions manager for Stockpile Reports, Jonathan now serves the team in a new capacity, bringing his immense knowledge and experience to the forefront. In his new role as a Solutions & Content Strategist, Jonathan brings a unique perspective to Stockpile Reports. From understanding the intricacies of aerial photography, the pain points of bulk material companies, and the digital evolution of the industry, Jonathan strives to educate, challenge, and grow companies in their inventory measurement processes.
Melissa provides tools and support to enable the sales team to spend more time in the field with customers. Mel has worked in the technology sector ranging from startups to Fortune 500 and in renewable energy to texting where she grew accustomed to the challenges of remote sites and various supporting technology. She wears many hats and picks up on work where work is needed whether through RFPs, on-site visits, or customer training and support. Mel is local to the Redmond area and grew up fishing for Salmon on the lower Skykomish River with her dad.
Todd has nearly 30 years of experience in the aggregate and ready-mix industry. Responsible for consulting and business development, Todd strives to find solutions for our customers to mitigate risk for employers, improve accuracy and reliability in the inventory tracking process, and aid in inventory dispute resolution by providing high-quality data to businesses around the world. As a resident of Washington State, Todd frequents UW football games with his friends and family, enjoys hunting and gardening (not at the same time, of course), and spends his free time with his wife of 26 years, two daughters and new son-in-law.
James graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Finance and Management and a minor in Economics. As the Field Operations Manager, James is passionate about finding creative solutions to common problems, addressing and overcoming obstacles, and when you engage with James, you can count on him to find the best possible solutions and answers to your biggest challenges. Prior to joining the team, he spent many years touring with his band and working in the digital technology space. In his spare time, you can find him traveling, snapping photos, or playing music.
Originally from Idaho, Dustin has resided with his wife in Washington State since 2003. He studied Music at Shoreline Community College and Business at Boise State University. With a background in IT and product installations, Dustin enjoys solving tough problems using innovative and creative approaches. He is focused on providing reliable solutions to unique problems, ensuring customer satisfaction. He’s most excited about the opportunities for product innovations and the future of logistics solutions. In Dustin’s spare time, you can find him tinkering in his garage with cars and motorcycles, woodworking, renovating his home, playing the drums in his band, or hanging out with his dog, Snoop.
Graham comes to Stockpile Reports with years of product management and design experience. He has his sights set on ensuring that our products are operating in tip-top shape, and meeting and exceeding customer expectations. His background and experience with design, technology, and customer service make him a great addition to the team. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, Graham now resides in Seattle with his wife and three daughters. In his spare time, you can find Graham outdoors tending to his bees, hanging out with the family dog, Poppy, or working on their small, family t-shirt company, spacedonut. Graham has worked with many brands, both big and small, to ensure they are sending the right brand message, creating a unique and positive user experience, and achieving their goals.
Srinivas architects the infrastructure and applications that are running the business, based on his 25 years of software inception, architecture, and development to ensure that our products are predictably scalable. Srini’s background with Fortune 100 companies such as IBM and Hewlett Packard brings a global and world-class perspective to Stockpile Reports solutions. Srini earned his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Hyderabad, India.
Jared attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Ph.D. in Computer Vision. His thesis focused on large-scale 3D reconstruction from images, with advisors Jan-Michael Frahm and Enrique Dunn. While at UNC, Jared developed a reconstruction system that processed and reconstructed scenes from a 100 million image dataset within 6 days. This was accomplished using only a single computer— two orders of magnitude in improvement over previously published methods. Jared has also developed state-of-the-art techniques for disambiguating repetitive, duplicate, or otherwise confusing scene elements in a 3D reconstruction. He is also working on image description, retrieval, and registration, as well as real-time computer vision on mobile devices and GPUs.
Brooke comes to Stockpile Reports with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Her deep knowledge and appreciation of computers, technology, code, and the translation to products are invaluable to the Stockpile Reports team. She enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, improving and developing new processes, and making tools and technology better, faster, and more efficient. In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with her husband, Chris, at their cabin in western North Carolina, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, or watching their latest show on Netflix with their cats, Tuxie and Bubby.
Peter Barr, originally from Clearwater, Florida, graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, where he studied Mathematical Statistics in his undergrad and Computer Science during his graduate career. While at Wake Forest University, Peter spent time working as a Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. After graduating, he went to work for the creator of Invisalign, Align Technology, then to Size Stream, and now he joins us, Stockpile Reports, as a Sr. Software Engineer. Peter enjoys identifying problems and creating powerful, automated solutions, and optimizing processes to make them more efficient, repeatable, and valuable to the end-user. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and playing golf, tennis, soccer, and video games.
Kurt joined Stockpile Reports as a member of the Software Engineering team. With a background consisting of more than 25 years of software development experience, Kurt has developed software systems for companies that vary in maturity from startups to large enterprises. The majority of his time was spent working as a software architect, utilizing his technical skills in Open Source and Java technologies like Apache Tomcat, Spring Framework, and Hibernate. In Kurt’s spare time, you can find him playing tennis, a sport that he has played for the majority of his life, and his dream is to live in a place where the standard dress is a t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops!
Originally from western Massachusetts, Dan got into computer vision while studying imaging science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. During his time there, he worked with the graphics and perception lab on 3D reconstruction and gaze tracking for forensic investigators examining crime scenes. After graduating, he remained in upstate New York working on a flow-based geospatial data visualization toolkit for the Air Force. In 2017 Dan moved to Portland Oregon, never having visited the west coast before, to work on a high-performance dense 3D reconstruction application used in the geospatial intelligence community. Joining Stockpile Reports in 2021, he has brought his aerial mapping and dense reconstruction experience to improve our reports. In his spare time, Dan can be found at various curling rinks playing the mixed doubles format or lost in the woods with a map and compass trying to find his next orienteering control point.
Kyle is one part developer, one part designer. At Stockpile Reports, his goal is to understand technology, users, and the impact of software functionality on the overall user experience. With years of experience, he believes that great software isn’t made in a vacuum and that there needs to be an open line of communication between those designing, creating, and using any given product. This is Kyle’s number one focus on Stockpile Reports. In his free time, Kyle is still creating. He is passionate about writing comedy, playing and recording music, and has collected around a dozen instruments from cello to banjo to trumpet.
A Georgia native, Nick is a passionate engineer with 4+ years of experience building and deploying large-scale production applications to the cloud. Nick is experienced in back-end technologies such as NodeJS, but also competent with front-end, especially using a framework such as React. Having worked with a number of third-party APIs and systems in order to utilize their functionality and/or data, he specializes in building easy to use and reliable APIs with both a REST and GraphQL architecture. Nick enjoys solving difficult problems, creating new systems and infrastructure, as well as improving existing platforms using modern standards to ensure speed and security.
Carlos, the “land surveyor on steroids.” Well versed in the 3D photography space, Carlos brings 20 years of business acumen to Stockpile Reports. Responsible for business development and strategic process improvement, Carlos’ love for art and business are a force to be reckoned with. Currently residing in Ashland, OR, Carlos graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining Stockpile Reports, Carlos owned and operated his own innovative BIM and 3D services business. In his spare time, you can find him outdoors, spending time with his family and two dogs, or traveling and exploring the ocean from under the surface.
David drives the overall strategic vision and 3D product definition for Stockpile Reports. He brings over 18 years of software innovation and global application and deployment experience in the technology sector as a seasoned entrepreneur and Fortune 100 executive. David led the strategic vision and product strategy for big data analytics and Wi-Fi content management services companies. In 2003, he launched the Mobile Media Consortium to develop groundbreaking research for real-world mobile applications. David Boardman sits on the Board of Directors for Open Perception, focused on advancing the development and adoption of BSD-licensed open source software for 2D and 3D processing of sensory data. David leads the team with a no-nonsense, real-world experience management style. Lisa is an experienced CFO and operational leader with deep experience in the manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and logistics sectors, including large-scale export of bulk materials and domestic vertically integrated production operations. She has directed change initiatives to support large-scale operational growth as well as business triage, including liquidation. Lisa spent the first decade of her career as a CPA with Deloitte serving public and privately-owned companies, including a Fortune 100 company. At Deloitte, her emphasis was coordinating financing, capitalization, and business combination transactions as well as consultation on emerging issues, such as fair value accounting and impairment as well as regulatory compliance and SEC reporting concerns.
Mark’s broad and deep knowledge of engineering spans across many disciplines, from control systems to computer vision to signal processing. Mark’s interests further extend beyond engineering, to include natural sciences, biology, finance, and philosophical fields – i.e. “Natural Philosophy”. Mark was a founder of the Intel Play Smart Toy Lab, a founder and CTO of Urban Robotics, founder of Edo Capital, and a founding board member of URC Ventures.
Bill’s storied career as a chief engineer and scientist spans 5 decades, from the Hubble Space Telescope, to U.S. Navy Radar systems, to Skylab, to Airborne Reconnaissance programs. After retirement, Bill founded Urban Robotics which continued for 10 years and had a successful exit. Finally, Bill continues his love of optics and engineering as a founding board member of URC Ventures.
Geoff’s career has focused on marrying advanced technologies with smart business plans. He has been a founder in multiple businesses ranging from smart toys to military systems to capital investment. Geoff specializes in computer vision as a trade, holds 13 diverse patents and has a Masters of Computer Science from Purdue University. An entrepreneur at heart, Geoff excels at creating and growing high tech businesses that have a meaningful impact on the world.
