Jonathan is a skilled commercial drone pilot, an expert in industrial drone applications, and an inventory management guru. Jonathan grew up in Portland, Oregon with a passion for technology and design. He attended Oregon State University and graduated with a B.S. focusing on Geography and Geographic Information Systems. He spent the first half of his career as a cartographer and GIS Analyst for the State of Oregon specializing transportation-related data visualizations.
He joined Stockpile Reports in 2013 as a solutions consultant. He had the opportunity to travel to nearly every state in the US and learn about Stockpile Reports’ customers at a deeply personal level. He believes the personal connections you make determines your overall lifetime success with a customer. Jonathan’s passion for marketing stemmed from his frustrations of seeing other marketers unable to connect with their audience because they never spent a day in their audiences shoes. In 2018, Jonathan transitioned from solutions consulting to marketing. Whether he is focused on customer discovery for a new product, launching a communications campaign, or writing an industry article, he always remembers who his audience is, talk to them how they would communicate, and put their needs first.

Jared attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Ph.D. in Computer Vision. His thesis focused on large-scale 3D reconstruction from images, with advisors Jan-Michael Frahm and Enrique Dunn. While at UNC, Jared developed a reconstruction system that processed and reconstructed scenes from a 100 million image dataset within 6 days. This was accomplished using only a single computer— two orders of magnitude in improvement over previously published methods. Jared has also developed state-of-the-art techniques for disambiguating repetitive, duplicate, or otherwise confusing scene elements in a 3D reconstruction. He is also working on image description, retrieval, and registration, as well as real-time computer vision on mobile devices and GPUs.
