If you do not yet have a Stockpile Reports subscription, but need an inventory count, we have some great news.

We are happy to announce we are now able to fulfill one of our most common requests: One-off drone flights. While we usually talk about the amazing benefits of regular, inexpensive drone flights to monitor site changes and keep inventory on track, there are many reasons why a customer might need a single or very infrequent drone flight measurement taken of a site. We call these “one-off drone flights”.

Why would a customer need only a single or very occasional site flight? Well, for example, a customer might be selling or buying another site from another party. A seller might claim there are 500,000 tons of material on the site, but the buyer thinks it’s closer to 300,000 tons. Rather than relying on guesswork, either might request a one-off drone flight to aid in sale negotiations.

Financial reporting on inactive sites are another reason. Some publicly held companies might be required to have an inventory of assets done once or twice a year to comply with regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. They might have 20 sites, 18 of which are active, working sites – perfect for regular measurements with StockpileReports.com. But maybe two of their sites are inactive – perhaps a staging or holding area where there is very little change. It’s not worth it to measure them regularly, but once or twice a year flights keep the inventory figures up to date.

Another possible use case: quarry or pit owners might contract with mobile rock crusher vendors to come on-site and crush rock. These contract crushers would like one detailed measurement to show how much crushed rock they produced. And a site owner might want to verify that the agreed-upon amount of material was produced. Again, a one-off drone flight takes the guesswork out of invoicing.

One-off Inventory counts can cost as little as $1,000 per site. This service includes us sending one of our drone pilots to a location of your choosing, where they’ll fly your site and upload the imagery. You’ll see all your inventory results, automatically processed and displayed in our easy-to-read in-depth reports. Get in touch with us and we’ll get you set up.
